Get Baptized

What is Baptism?

At Every Nation NYC we believe that baptism is a symbolic demonstration of our commitment to live God’s way. By being publicly submerged in water we are showing our dedication and submission to Jesus Christ. Baptism helps us unite with Christ in his death and resurrection to new life. At Every Nation Church, New York we practice fully submerging people in water who have made a commitment to Jesus.

How to know if Baptism is your Next Step?

Where does Every Nation NYC baptize people?
Unless otherwise stated, we usually baptize people in an extra deep bathtub called a baptismal in our office and events space, 414 W. 51st Street. The baptismal is designed to be not too cold and easy to get in and out of.
What do I need to bring to my Baptism?
Bring a change of clothes you are happy to get wet, a towel, and some clothes for after. Also you can bring as many friends and family as you want.
What does Baptism actually involve?
You’ll get a chance to share your story with the people present and they will also pray for you. Once in the baptismal (the special bath), a pastor will ask you a few yes/no questions that clarify your commitment to Jesus. With your hand on your nose, they will then quickly submerge you in the water and bring you back up again. The actual baptism is over pretty quickly but it is often a very meaningful experience for people as they align their life with Jesus.
What happens if I was Christened as child?
When you sign up for Baptism, you’ll get a chance to discuss this and any other questions you have with a pastor.
